The Model A1 power line cutter is a light weight (4.9 lbs and 15 inches
long) industrial cable cutting tool. Cutting electrical and structural cable has been
reduced to an easy task with the CACT-Co family of cartridge
actuated cable cutters. The Model A1 cutter is designed to cut 5/8 inch cross
arm bolts, 1/4 to 1/2 inch guywire and up to 3/4 inch ACSR in areas
requiring storm damage cleanup. |
The open frame Model A1 is prepared for cutting by first twisting the handle
and pulling back to expose the breech. A proper color coded cartridge is
inserted into the breech and the handle is pushed forward and
rotated to lock it into position.

Insert the cable between the blades with the fixed blade against the
cable. Then the double action trigger is pulled, resulting in an instantaneous
and uniform cut.
