The Model A5 Cartridge Actuated Cable Cutter was designed to meet
the needs of the power industry in cutting large diameter power
distribution and transmission lines. Two inch diameter 1000 kcmil AL
cable has been the benchmark for this cutter. Our clients have
requested an evaluation of the Model A4 on Bluebird-ACSR-2156. We
can now report a successful technique for cutting this cable with the
Model A5 Cartridge Actuated Cable Cutter.

The Model A5 Cartridge Actuated Cable
Cutter is loaded and placed on the cable as described in
the Models A4 and A5
instructions. While 2.00 inch 1000 kcmil AL is cut with
one cartridge (one firing), Bluebird - 1.762 inch diameter is cut
with three shots (three firings in the same place). |
